Overview:
It comes with four rotating 6.6×6.6 filter trays with inserts available to allow use of smaller filters. One filter tray ifeatures a rack & pinion system and a control wand (similar to a Focus Whip) that allows for smooth movement of a tray within a filter stage during a shot. The MB14 mounts to either 15mm studio or 19mm studio rods (both mounts included). It is a “swingaway” system, meaning that the mattebox assembly can hinge away from the lens while remaining mounted to the rods for easy and fast lens changes. The rear ring can accommodate lenses with front diameters as large as 162mm such as the popular Angenieux Optimo 24-290. For smaller lenses various drop-down rings and bellows assemblies are also included. The MB14 comes with adjustable top and side flags plus a set of cut out lens mattes.
